2025 Honda X-ADV 750 : Scooter That Thinks It’s an Adventure Bike

2025 Honda X-ADV 750 has always been a bit of an outlier, a maxi-scooter, with the personality of an adventure bike and is entirely unapologetic about it. Now entering its third generation, this quirky crossover has found real footing in Europe. Although previous versions never made it stateside, 2025 could finally be the year that changes it. And with its offbeat styling, rugged attitude, and just enough real-world capability to back it all up, the X-ADV might be exactly the kind of oddball we didn’t know we needed.

Let’s take a look…

Body Design

The X-ADV maintains its rugged design with angular bodywork making it a very Urban looking scooter. The 2025 X ADV has come with sone fresh paints the Graphite Black, Pearl Glare White & Matte Deep Mud Grey. Engine

The 2025 X-ADV is powered by a 745cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine, delivering 57 hp and 69 Nm of torque. Tuned for smooth power delivery, good for urban environments and highway cruising, though its performance might feel modest to you compared to full-fledged adventure bikes.

Transmission

Refined 6-speed Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) , offers a seamless automatic mode and a manual mode with paddle shifters for more engaged control. Though the DCT enhances appeal to many drivers, however, the lack of a traditional clutch might not appeal to purists.

Competitors: Where the X-ADV Stands

The Honda X-ADV occupies a unique niche but being a 750cc it faces competition mainly from adventure bikes and some but very capable maxi-scooters like:
BMW C 400 X: A premium maxi-scooter designed for urban environments, though it lacks the X-ADV’s ruggedness(we will be reviewing it soon).
Lastly, it’s Yamaha which is releasing an extremely noteworthy competitor in Europe by March 2025 the Yamaha TMAX 560(reviewing it as soon as we get more information).

Practicality:

The X-ADV shines as a multi-purpose machine. Its under-seat storage, keyless ignition, and intuitive transmission make it great for urban riding. Optional panniers and a top box expand its touring potential, making it a good choice for those seeking one vehicle for multiple roles.
