This is no ordinary Polestar. More power? Check. Are the tires sticky? Absolutely. Is the development delay due to internal support? Why? Painted in a somber battleship grey, this “Polestar 2” is not only fast, it’s also very exciting.
The vehicle, parked outside Polestar’s headquarters, draws the attention of passers-by and tourists. Polestar CEO Thomas Ingenlath even uses this unique car as his daily commuter and is constantly thinking about how to bring it into production. As talk of this “monster” on social media grew, the name stuck in mind: BST was born.
Polestar BST Edition
The Polestar 2 BST Edition 270 is the first result of this testing process. With 476 horsepower, special Öhlins dampers, low suspension and Pirelli P Zero tires, it’s a laser-focused driving machine. It’s not just fast; it’s original and made for those who love it.
Then in 2023, the Polestar 2 BST Edition 230 is introduced, featuring a Micro Suede interior and striking Nebula paint. Each new version of the BST series reflects Polestar’s commitment to pushing the boundaries, blending Scandinavian elegance with performance-focused design.
Polestar Concept BST: Performance turned up to 11
Polestar is now taking things to the next level with the BST concept. You can think of this car as a design study, a statement of intent. This is not a production car, just a demonstration of Polestar’s incredible performance. The car is finished in classic Racing Silver paint and the eye-catching BST decals that highlight its racing heritage.
Polestar Concept BST: Wheels
There’s a big splitter at the front and a powerful diffuser at the rear. The widened track and flared fenders give it a unique stance, while the 22-inch forged alloy wheels are fitted with striking Swedish gold brake calipers. Bold, fearless and very Scandinavian.
Inside, Polestar shows off its racing-inspired Nappa leather seats, elegant gold detailing and a design concept that extends to the passenger compartment. Polestar also shows that it is ready to go all out in terms of aerodynamics by adding a large wing to the concept car for the first time.
Goodwood’s spectacular show
The Polestar Concept BST made its world premiere at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, the perfect venue for big new machines. Launched alongside the new Polestar 3 and Polestar 4 SUVs and the Polestar 6 Roadster concept, the BST concept has turned heads and won the hearts of onlookers.
Polestar CEO Thomas Ingenlath put it beautifully: “This car is a revolutionary evolution of the Polestar 11. It showcases our performance DNA and shows how we will apply the BST model to our future.”
What’s next for BST?
