With the launch of a new entry-level “Core” trim Volvo has made VOLVO ‘CORE’ EX30 Electric SUV, the most budget-friendly electric vehicle in Volvo’s lineup.
Starting Price of $34,950, the EX30 Core is in direct competition with the Hyundai Kona Electric, Volkswagen ID.4 & Kia EV3 among others.
Though it being the base model, the Core offers two battery options, both paired with a 272hp single motor that powers the rear wheels.
VOLVO ‘CORE’ EX30 Performance
VolvoEX30 Core is not shy of performance, both battery versions are capable of accelerating from 0 to 62 mph in under 6 seconds. The top speed is capped at 112 mph.

Range
The $34,950 version comes with a 51kWh battery that provides an official range of up to 209 miles. For an additional, $38,950 the Extended Range version, equipped with a larger 69kWh battery, boosts the range to 295 miles.
Charging
Both versions support 175kW rapid charging, allowing the battery to charge from 10% to 80% in under 30 minutes.
Technology
The EX30 Core includes a solid range of standard features, such as single-zone climate control, automatic LED headlights with an active high beam, . The 12.3-inch central touchscreen offers Android Auto and wireless Apple CarPlay integration, along with satellite navigation, a DAB radio.

rear parking sensors, and a reversing camera. Additionally, the dashboard features a 100-watt soundbar, enhancing the minimalist Scandinavian design.
Wheels
Volvo EX30 Core comes fitted with 18-inch alloy wheels.
Deliveries
Orders for the Volvo EX30 Core are open, with deliveries expected to begin in early 2025.
